Delhi Public School

Carmel Convent High School celebrated Hindi Diwas on 14th September 2024, a momentous occasion honoring India's rich cultural heritage and the national language, Hindi. This significant day acknowledges the country's multilingual diversity while promoting the beauty and importance of Hindi. In 1949, Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, India's first Prime Minister, declared 14th September as Hindi Diwas, aiming to integrate Hindi into daily life and foster national pride and unity To commemorate this occasion, a special assembly was conducted, showcasing our students' talent and enthusiasm. Various competitions were organized: - Hindi Poem Recitation (Classes I-V) - Doha, Gazal, Shayari, and Qawwali competitions (Classes VI-X) Students seized this opportunity to demonstrate their linguistic skills, creativity, and passion for Hindi. The events encouraged teamwork, confidence, and a deeper appreciation for India's national language. Hindi Diwas 2024 was a resounding success, thanks to the active participation and dedication of our students and Hindi language teachers. We look forward to continuing this tradition, nurturing a love for Hindi, and celebrating India's linguistic diversity.
