Independence day celebration
The 78th Independence Day celebrations at Carmel Convent High School was held on August 15, 2024 with great enthusiasm and patriotic fervour. The event aimed not only to commemorate the historic day but also to instill a sense of national pride and unity among the students. The day commenced with the traditional flag-hoisting ceremony by the chief guest, Mrs. Sreelata followed by lighting of the lamp and a graceful prayer dance with prayer service.
Following the melodious patriotic song and fashion show, Mrs. Sreelatha
delivered a patriotic speech in which she paid tribute to the freedom fighters who sacrificed their lives for the independence of our country. She also urged the students to be proud of their heritage and to contribute towards building a strong and prosperous India. The patriotic song, dances, skit and a fashion show on the great leaders and learned men and women of India was beautifully showcased by the students of std III and IX. The program was a grand success. There was a feeling of pride and patriotism in everyone’s heart. The event was concluded with School song, fostering unity and pride among all present.
