Athletic sports Meet (Secondary section)

In order to instil a sense of sportsmanship and competitiveness among the students, Carmel Convent High School Kalamboli had conducted athletic sports meet for the students from secondary section on 8th January 2024. It included a set of various inter-squad competitions such as: 200m, 400m and 600m running races, hurdle race, ring race, slow cycle race, relay race and short put throw. Students from std 5th to 10th took part in these competitions. All the students were divided into various categories such as U/12, U/14 and U/16. All the students displayed their inner athlete and showcased their strength, determination, sportsmanship and competitiveness. Such a wonderful event would not have been possible without the support of the school principal Sr Sushmita who tried to promote the importance of sports in a student’s life. This event was conducted under the supervision of Sandeep Sir and Rakesh Sir the sports teachers who ensured the success of the event. It was truly a wonderful attempt by the school management to create an atmosphere of friendly competitiveness and invoke sportsmanship in the students leading to their improvement in athletics.
